I build software that solves real problems.

Computer Science student with full-stack development experience grounded in security and systems fundamentals — from C/C++ to hardened, self-hosted production apps.

I have professional experience developing production software, founding a design agency, and leading teams in high-performance hospitality environments. My interest in quantum computing started with independent research — it's actually what led me to pursue a Computer Science degree in the first place.

Researcher

First Principle Consultants

Independent research focused on foundational physics with an emphasis on quantum computing. This work is what originally motivated me to pursue a Computer Science degree, with the long-term goal of moving from theory into experimental and computational quantum computing.

  • Ongoing research into foundational physics questions relevant to quantum computing
  • Reviewing and synthesizing literature across physics and computer science
  • Producing written research and internal documentation
  • The direct reason I returned to formal study in Computer Science
Oct 2021 — Mar 2022

Frontend Developer

MenuCloud · Internship

Worked on a production SaaS platform using JavaScript and Nuxt 3, contributing to frontend feature development, debugging, and testing alongside senior developers.

  • Built and maintained frontend features on a live production platform
  • Worked with APIs and secure data transmission
  • Participated in planning, estimation, and task prioritization
Jun 2020 — Oct 2021

Frontend Developer

237 Design Studio · Contract

Built responsive websites and custom web applications on a contract basis, working across a Node.js backend and React clients and integrating third-party services directly with clients and designers.

  • Point of contact for critical errors, reducing time-to-fix by 14%
  • Migrated a multi-page experience into a single-page app, improving customer engagement by 8%
  • Integrated APIs and third-party services
Jun 2018 — May 2020

Co-Owner

Andre Laredo Fine Art Prints

Co-owned and operated a fine art prints business, handling everything from business registration and licensing to product development and the customer-facing web app.

  • Handled business registration, licensing, sourcing, accounting, branding, and marketing
  • Built new components for the customer-facing web app, improving average time on page by 2 minutes
  • Designed and updated the site layout for usability, performance, and accessibility
Oct 2017 — Mar 2020

Team Leader

Ricarda's Restaurant | Bar | Café

Led front-of-house teams and managed the wine program at a busy restaurant, bar, and café, alongside day-to-day operations and staff training.

  • Managed opening/closing procedures and trained new team members
  • Rebuilt the POS system to reflect menu and product changes
  • Partnered with the General Manager on team goals and performance reviews — sales grew 4% year over year

Why leadership experience matters

Long before I wrote software professionally, I was responsible for teams, operations, inventory, customer experience, and high-pressure decision making.

Leading people taught me accountability. Building software taught me systems thinking.

The combination helps me communicate clearly, work well with others, and stay focused when problems become complex.

Interests

what I'm exploring

My interest in quantum computing isn't just casual reading — I'm an independent researcher at First Principle Consultants, focused on foundational physics with an eye toward quantum computing applications. Right now that's mostly literature review, theoretical work, and technical writing — it's actually the reason I went back to study Computer Science, with the long-term goal of moving from theory into hands-on experimental and computational work.

Outside of that, I'm also interested in artificial intelligence, computer systems, and cybersecurity — which started with TryHackMe, pwning boxes and building out a home lab just to break things and see how they work. My OutRun CTF project (above, under Selected Work) grew out of that.

I'm also curious about robotics, and I'm always looking for the next box to break or system to understand better.
